Glazed Cabinetry

The glazing of cabinets by Legacy is a technique in which several translucent layers of tinted glaze are hand-rubbed over the existing paint or stain to create a distinct look - giving the cabinetry a much richer appearance. After being hand-rubbed over the base color of the cabinet, the glaze is wiped off by hand, resulting in unique variances in coverage.

Because each component is glazed individually, color saturation ranges from even and consistent, to varied and dramatic. This remaining glaze will be more noticeable in grooves, corners and areas where there is open wood grain in the cabinet. The result is a one-of-a-kind look that highlights the details of each cabinet’s unique characteristics.

Glaze often darkens the cabinet slightly, resulting in a more antique look. This look can provide layers of depth and luster to an area where there were previously flat colors. Legacy offers either a Mocha or Black Glaze and both are perfect for Kitchens, Bathrooms, Vanities, Furniture pieces and Built-Ins.
